Mt Warning, called Wollumbin or Cloudcatcher by the aboriginals who lived in the Tweed Valley for thousands of years. It is the remaining plug of an enormous shield volcano. The top of Mt Warning is the first part of the Australian continent to catch the sunrise each morning. It was named Mt Warning by Captain Cook in 1770 during his doscovery of Australia.
